Here are picture stories about animals - see Unit 8 ex.5 for lexical material. The exercise can be done orally and in writing, in plural and in singular, together or in pairs. Please note that stories of different student can vary a lot and it is OK and good.

Possible stories:
1)
People can jump and swim. People can climb trees. People can sing. They can’t fly, but they can play football.
People can speak English, Russian and Spanish. They can read in many languages. They can write in Russian, French, Japanese and many languages.
People can walk 5 km per hour. People can run 15 km per hour.
A baby is 50 cm long. When a baby is 1 year old it can stand (walk).
2)
A penguin can walk 4 km per hour. It can swim 12 km per hour.
A penguin can jump and slide. It cannot fly. It cannot sing.
3)
A frog can swim. A frog can climb trees. It cannot walk. It cannot speak Japanese.
A frog can jump 1 m.
When a baby frog is 2 weeks old it has got legs.
A baby frog is 1 cm long.
An adult frog can be 15 cm long.
4)

Snowmen cannot run or dance. Snowmen can stand.
